Books on Breweries

I have been doing a tremendous amount of reading lately.  To put things in perspective, I don’t really like reading.  But I have enjoyed all the books I have been consuming.  Maybe it is because I actually have a passion for the stuff I am reading.  There is a lot to this “I’m opening a brewpub” thing.  There are things you knew you didn’t know, things you didn’t know you were supposed to know, and things you thought you knew until you learned you were [mostly] wrong.  As I read these books, I have been going through a roller-coaster of Read More …

Gnome Hole at CBC16

I spent last week in Philadelphia for the Craft Brewers Conference 2016 (CBC16).  It was a lot of fun and I learned a ton.  The fun part is easy to sum up.  Beer!  The education is a little harder to sum up into one or two main lessons.  The biggest thing I can say is that it is all in the details.  And there are lots of little details for so many aspects of starting a business that happens to be a brewery and restaurant.
